they provide you with training and then put you into a inner city school for 2 years. In Calif., some colleges will give you a discount on tuition towards your credential. The upside is they provide you with supoort, the downside is your in an inner city school and you don't get to chose which one.Now some teachers would say teaching in an inner city school is not a downside. However, for someone like me who knows I'm not cut out for it, it would be a downside. Bottom line: research it carefully as there are several programs out there.
