How about a calendar center. Let the children play with the calendar.(change months to show their birthday, make the numbers into patterns with evens one color and odds a different) Let them fill in the blank... Today is ? Tomarrow will be ? Yesterday was? You can even let them put a straw in a can everyday and then group them into tens. Have a party to celebrate 100 days of school. Another center is having them write their spelling words or sentences with the big ABC magnets they make for the fridge. We also have a dictionary center where they have to look up words. I don't know what grade you need but these work in my second grade class. Let me know if you need more.
