Clip to ScrapBook
We built a rocket ship out of a cardboard box. Volunteer parents made space suits and helmets. On the play ground, we used balls to represent different planets. Drew large rings with chalk on the play ground. The children then moved with their ball around their ring. Took shoeboxes and out the bottom. WE taped black paper on the bottom. THe kids poked holes in the paper with a large needles (supervised of course) to make star constellations. We visited a planetarium. Had a late night star party, when parents came and we observed stars and planets through a telescope. Made telescopes out of paper towel roles. WE had ALOT of fun with this!n As I remember more I'll post them.
