Australia

Clip to ScrapBook
Each state has its own Education Department. I am from Western Australia and I know that you would be very lucky if you got a full time job in the city of Perth. There are many teachers trying to get back to the city. You may be luckier in areas that are hard to staff but it would depend on what you are used to. Some of our towns are very isolated. I don't want to put you off but I don't think it would be easy. You may possibly get a long term relief for someone. Sometimes you can just be lucky. The nicer the place the harder to get a job. Another approach might be exchange where you exchange homes, cars and jobs with someone for a year. Then it wouldn't matter if you didn't like the place. You would also get a nicer teaching spot. Good luck.
