Our school has started a program called "Four Square Writing" and it's a great way to get kids organized! So far, my 5th graders have done remarkable jobs on 3 to 5 paragraph essays. I think your students would really benefit from the ways in which organization is taught with this method. I don't have the author, etc., here at home with me but I'm sure a simple search would find it. Good luck, you have a big task in front of you, but IT CAN BE DONE!
