Behavior

Clip to ScrapBook
Christy,

I've tried several stategies with the problem student. Positive reinforcement on good behavior, calling on him to particpate in class discussions, talking to his parent, but what happened was that eventually he started disrupting the class more rather than particpate in it. He liked the attention.

That's a good idea to talk to the problem student about other things than school. I'll try that! You're right..if I can get his attention, the rest of the class will follow. Since he came back to my class, we're back to the same thing with the kids giving him an audience when he disrupts the class.

Thank you so much for your help!
