I read on another board a great answer to this question. "Your child just needs the gift of time." I don't remember the person that said this or which board, but I used it last week and I could just see relief in the parents eyes. I told them very gently and made a comparison that children learn to walk and talk at all different ages. It is the same with learning. They just need some more time.
