I totally understand how you feel. I have been teaching for 11 years. With the birth of my second child, I requested to work half-day. I loved it so much this year that I have requested to do it again next year. I was
tired of coming home and literally falling asleep at the dinner table!!!! If you have any opportunity to do this I would strongly suggest it. If not, don't be afraid to ask for help. My sister teaches full-time with two young children and she has hired a cleaning lady to come twice a month and she has a babysitter twice a month so that her and her husband can have a dinner out. She
also does not spend a lot of time cooking. It is very easy to prepare fast healthy meals with all the packaged meals in supermarkets. Encourage your family members to help with the household tasks. You are working full-time and your children and husband should be able to help with the laundry, dishes, etc. Do not be afraid to delegate, delegate, delegate! Also, remember, we cannot have it all, all of the time. Life changes with the years. List your priorities and focus on what is most important now. Clean house, perfect meals, and hobbies may have to wait. Take care of yourself and your family! Good luck!
