Clip to ScrapBook
Dear Mrs. S.

Thank you for your valuable advice! That's a great idea for the student who talks out of turn during a game to do an alternative educational assignment. I'm going to use that on Monday! I was thinking of using
it for cooperative group activities too or do you think it may lose its effectiveness? The kids tend to think that it's their time to catch up on the social talk.

And I do have the problem with the last word with the leader. I tend to try to explain myself thinking it would be clear, but it seems to just add to the talk. THe leader has a lot of issues and I'm trying to help him, but

he honestly doesn't see it.

I tried separating the 6 boys, but they always seem to find a way to talk across tables. We are supposed to have the kids in clusters of 4-5 students and this doesn't help the talking at inappropriate times too. I have been changing the seating every month, but maybe if I find a seating arrangement that works, I'll keep it until it seems to be the time to change?

I like the idea of having the kids come for lunch for 5-7 minutes too..

Thank you again for your help!
