Classroom workshop
By Lynn C.

Clip to ScrapBook
I have saved the tv guides that are found in the daily newspaper. (These are like small newspaper/magazine usually in the weekend edition.) The students are to roll them and wrap them with a rubber band.
Using a piece
of cardboard or construction paper cut to the size of a business envelope, place an address label (I get them in the mail all the time from agencies seeking donations) on one side of the paper. Have students stuff business envelopes with glassine windows so that the address label shows.
Use index cards with survival words or any sight words you may be learning written on them. (one
per card). Have students file them in alphabetical order in a box with dividers.
You could use numbers if the students do not recognize words.
Have students fold a stack of twenty cloth napkins.
Just a few ideas. (forgive any spelling errors.)
