To teach responsibility - provide the children with meaningful chores, service work, community involvement, and work on having them responsible for the rules of the class and for their own behavior.

I do alot of work with puppetry - there is a puppetry book by tamara hunt which is excellent (a bit dated, but great information) WHen I remember the title I'll post it.

They can do fairy tales, make up their own stories, provide characters of familiar stories, make storyboards for favorite stories and create finger puppets for them.
