Are you talking about Cal State Teach? That's the one where you do coursework mostly online while working in the classroom. If so, apply to the program first and get accepted. You'll have a much better chance of getting hired if you say you've been accepted to the program, rather than just saying you're considering it. Also, if you're not subject matter qualified, pass the MSAT or CSET as soon as possible.CalTeach is a different program, and I've been told it's about to be cut because of California's awful budget mess. If that's the program you're thinking of, check it out carefully before getting too far along in your plans.
