How about kites for March? They can be simple ones, diamond-shaped. They can write something on them - like a Haiku (depending on your age group) or a writing from the point-of-view of the kite. Use yarn for tails and scraps of material to add to the tail. Not sure of a title - maybe something like "soaring into March".
