walking vowels

Just wanted to mention that the "when two vowels go walking the first one does the talking" rule is faulty. I have used this rule in the past. Recently, I have been reading a lot about spelling rules and came across an important fact. This rule is only true 30% of the time. It has really made me rethink using this rule with my students.
