heater
By Colleen

Clip to ScrapBook
I had a similar problem. One day it was less than 50 degrees in my room so I simply located an empty room and marched my kid there for the day. It was an adventure but I sure beat freezing like we all did at the beginning
of the week. I did get a space heater and plugged it in to warm us up. I didn't ask permission. The principal at the time never came to my room on a good day so I felt I had nothing to loose. Finally after about a whole month or so of fussing they found the motor was broken in my heating unit. Now we have new vents and thermostats in our rooms. It has never been so toasty in the
18 years I've taught in that room. One more thought... I have huge windows I found my windows were not closed all the way on the top.

My advise is to keep on them about the warmth. Parents can help you. Teaching is hard enough in the best of environments.
