I think you did the right thing for your daughter. Just the fact that she's coming home happy about school is great. I alwyas think it's a sad thing when one teacher so affects a child that they are turned off to school. I think it's even sadder that her old teacher lied. That in itself is a big reason I'd move my daughter. How can you ever trust that teacher to truthfully report to you what your daughter is or isn't learning? I also think it's good that you're putting this all behind you and moving on. Unplesantness is best left behind and it sounds so positive with the new teacher. Good going mom!
