Good Decision

You should be very proud of yourself for advocating so well for your daughter. You showed good presence of mind at the conference. Your daughter knows that you will help her, and that is invaluable. Also, far from "bailing" on a tough situation, you protected your daughter by having her switch classes. It sounds like the new teacher is kind and sensitive. Good for you (and your husband) for helping your daughter in a very hard situation--she'll benefit right away AND remember it forever.
