My thoughts exactly!

I'm in my second year teaching first grade. I love teaching, but I hate the increasing stress. I feel that my job should not depend on twenty kids who may or may not do their best on a standardized test. I am starting
my masters also. I chose to major in Reading p-12. I hope to be a Reading Recover teacher or an EIP teacher so that I can still do the work I love but not have a homeroom to deal with. I feel that this would be better for my family and myself. So don't feel bad if someone tells you that you just aren't cut out for teaching or you should quit if you feel the way you do. Life is all about
choices and sometimes we have to try things out. I, myself, like to have a life outside of teaching. I do as much as I can for my children, but I can't take time away from my family for them or spend my whole paycheck on them. Their moms and dads don't send in their money to me! Just try something different. There are so many options in teaching...
