centers

Clip to ScrapBook
We do centers each day for about 45 minutes. It is the kids favorite time. They carry a number sheet with them, numbered from 1to 5 for each day. They star it off themselves as they finish each center. They do journal writing, writing the letters in their name, name puzzles, math manipulatives, sequencing activities, magnetic alphabet, leap pads and computers (just about anything). One of their favorites has been a dice rolling center. We started with one die and they graphed their results. Now they recognise the numbers and are using two dice to form addition equations. They also enjoy partner reading at centers.
