My heater has been broken too!!!
By Melanie

Clip to ScrapBook
I have never had heat in my classroom this school year. I live in Northern California, so it doesn't get below 45 during the day. That's cold for us. We don't want to take our gloves and scarves off either.

I've requested
that it be fixed, and I got some BS about PG&E and how it will take them a long time to get out to my classroom.

Basically, there is no law stating how hot or cold it can be in a classroom. That's up to the school district.

I did get three space heaters which seem to help. It is BS, though.

I would talk to parents and ask them what they think about their children being in

a cold classroom. Persuade them to complain. I think that contacting a TV station would cause problems for you. Sometimes, schools will get a move on when they are pressured by parents.
