It usually took me about 3 hours to get ready for a sub in elementary. My plans for the week were 10 pages (principal's requirement, not mine) but were overwhelming to a sub so I had to script out what I needed done. In middle, when I get up sick, I can call and leave a message for someone on my team (we all have voice mail) and never have to worry about it. They get the two lessons together and I do not have to worry.
