You all could be describing my aid as well. She is very controling and has no problem telling me that she's been in the business 17 years while this is my second year in my Kindergarten class. I too have been told by mentors and friends to keep telling myself that I'm the teacher but it's hard. Keep your chin up and know that we care about our kids and are going to make the best of our situations. My husband says I should have hired someone who was young and perhaps new and eager rather than the person whose worked at all these different schools. One day at a time I guess.
