priv. vs public
By gc137

Clip to ScrapBook
I teach at a priv. church run school. Previously I was a TA in a public school for three years.

I like the priv. much better. It is my church, an employess are required to join our church, so obviously they agree on our doctrine, etc. Parents are advised of exactly what types of religious things we teach, so they are coming with the knowledge their child will be taught/tested on our Bible teaching.

Most private schools are their own administrators also. 'The buck stops here'. That can be a very good thing, or a very bad thing. I feel blessed to be part of a group of teachers that have 'servant's hearts' and so alot of petty stuff gets left by the wayside for the good of the school. My child like me being at her school and we enjoy a nice discount too
