Math ideas

Clip to ScrapBook
How about a board that incorporates patterns? You could use snowflakes, changing the appearance of the snowflakes to create a pattern. Or, what about snowmen? One could have three buttons, next could have four, then five,
then repeat. Turn it into an interactive board by leaving some of the shapes out, having extras made near the board, and allowing the students to put the missing piece in the pattern. Maybe you could create a graphing board using winter-related questions. Pictographs or bar graphs would probably be the best to use for first grade. Questions could change weekly and the students could help
in altering the graph to make it correct. Since February is fast approaching you could use hearts. The possibilities are limitless here.

Hope this helps some!
