Auction project suggestions

My school has an auction every year, and we do class projects as well. My fifth graders do cross stitch pieces. This year the fourth graders did a stained glass piece. We also have had stepping stones, painted flower pots and furniture (benches, desks, chairs, etc.), mosaic tables and trays, and canvas bags decorated with student art work. One of our most interesting projects was a pair of wooden garden statues - a giraffe and a zebra, brightly painted and decorated by our kindergartners. I've also seen a neat table decoupaged with photos of the students.
