grading papers
By Peg

Clip to ScrapBook
It's funny that this is on here. I just had this conversation with my daughters recently (They are both 13)and they were telling me how sad they feel when they have to grade another student's papers and that student doesn't do well. They told me it is uncomfortable for them and for the other student, and that they then feel guilty if they did well. I went into school the next day and asked my fifth graders what they thought, and they overwhelmingly told me that they hated to have someone else see their papers. So, I have decided that I will have them grade their own with a marking pen, and they have promised to be honest.
