Clip to ScrapBook
I would use Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences. Explain to the parents that there are many intelligences. While she excels in logical/mathematical intelligence, she is struggling with interpersonal intelligence. Then site studies from Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman on how kids with High IQ but low interpersonal skills have a higher incidence of suicide and depression, problems in college, and problems in the workplace.
