I am a new teacher so I don't have an extreme amount of "stuff" but what I do have I placed in a file cabinet. I first organized it into subject areas. Then by grade level, and further into skills. This way when I am looking for a skill I know exactly where to go. I was so glad I did this because I recently needed something on government and writing descriptive paragraphs. I found the material immediately. I also have a section for seasonal, and classroom management. I did this last spring and over the summer, while I was awaiting placement. Now I have to go through all of my new stuff and place it where it belongs. Can you tell I used to be a file clerk?
