government
By Michele

Clip to ScrapBook
These ideas things I've seen in my school...tho not in my room. Our fifth grade elect a president, vice-pres, senate, legislature, etc. These people do what the actual branches of government would do. The kids seem to love it.

I can see how by simulating the different parts of the government (especially the judicial) you could teach how bills become laws by having your students come up with bills for the class, then going through the process. I don't know how exactly this would work, it just popped into my head.

I hope someone else has better ideas, I'm afraid mine aren't very origional.
