I challenge the students to use as much as the grid as possible. If all their data is squushed to the bottom or top, they get less points than if they use a lot of the grid. I also let them color in the line or bar graphs and they seem to like to have a lot to color. It takes a lot of practice and some kids will just always struggle to get this concept.
