some ideas

Clip to ScrapBook
1. User-friendly materials we can take with us!
2. Time to discuss/apply the material you present with others at the workshop--given the opportunity to work with a partner or to sit through something alone, most of us
would choose a partner. If you present a skill and there is time for us to try it out, let us and then offer time for discussion. Remember--we learn best by doing!
3. Make it relevant to our teaching and classroom needs. Are you presenting something we can implement soon or will further training be necessary?
4. Keep the atmosphere friendly and relaxed--intersperse your information
with classroom andecdotes or stories to keep us interested.
5. LOTS of visuals.
6. REFRESHMENTS!!!
7. Talk to your colleagues as equals. I sat through a workshop last week where the presenter talked down to us. Granted, the information was a bit obsolete and it was my first time exposure to the content, but he spoke to us as if we were completely ignorant!

Good luck. I am sure you will do fine.
