tests
By Sarah

Clip to ScrapBook
I completely agree with you Paige. It is so tragic when kids don't pass a standarized test to be promoted. I posted before about standarized tests. I don't teach a testing grade. However my sister didn't graduate with her
class because of the the old TAAS test in Texas. My parents and I were absolutely furious at the school system for not letting her be in her graduation ceremony. I can't even begin to tell you how devastated my sister was. She felt so stupid. My sister did finally pass the TAAS and is now going to college to be a TEACHER!!! Imagine that, a teacher who wasn't allowed to graduate because
of the TAAS. I do remember on the news they had a segment about the TAAS where most adults could not pass it. If adults can not pass it, how can we expect children to. Obviously, there is a problem with these tests.
