This seems like a glimpse of the real world. By Sheila

I am a second year teacher and I remember student teaching very vivdly. I thought I was being asked to do a lot when I had to be at school at 7 (I had 45 minute drive each way to get to my ST school) and then could not| get out until 5. I had the meetings with my co-op teacher, administration, and my supervisor from the university. I thought I was going through hell but now I realize that was a piece of cake compared to what I have to do now. You probably do not realize how much you co-op teacher is actully doing that you do not know about. When you do have your own classroom you will not have to write | | the long lesson plans but you have the staff meetings, the paperwork, the grading, the parent communication, the documenting, and so on. When you get your own room next year my guess is that you will feel over whelmed with everything you have to do and the thought of spending 10 hours a day at school will seem like a true dream. I personally work 10 hours at school and then about 2-3 hours at home then on the weekends I have had to cut back to only 12 hours. Please do not take this as I am insulting what you are going through because I do remember the feeling. Please take this as some advice as to what you should expect in the future.
