Isn't it amazing how logical thinking like "you can only use one "and" per sentence makes so much sense! I would like to add that we write a few days per week on a topic. We review five questions and the children write their answer. I have banned them using "because, that and to" at the beginning of sentences. I have signs in the room with those words and with a "no" line diagonally drawn across. It seems to help. I said you can't start sentences with those words until you get to high school...a little silly but.... Connie
