Flag! By Christi

I got this idea from someone on this board. I took a big piece of white bulletin board paper and I drew off a rectangle for the blue part of the flag. I then drew lines to represent the stripes (I did this with pencil). Then let the children stamp their handprints on the paper to make the flag (Blue handprints for the blue portion, red for the stripes). I did this with my fifth grade and they loved it. I expected it to be messy but it was not that bad. I have had it in the hall all year.
