I was concerned when you didn't show up yesterday and then even more so when I didn't hear from you at all. What happened!!??

Be sure he knows that he should never assume anything (maybe since there was a power outage he just assumed there wasn't school). He should always make every effort to get there (or atleast phone) unless it is confirmed that school is canceled because that would leave the students without a teacher. You definitely need to get his phone number where he can be reached! He needs to know that this looks really bad for him especially here at the beginning of his practice teaching. Oh my, I hope he isn't lacking in the common sense department! Yikes-- Good Luck
