Girls

Many girls seem to look up to female teachers. As a younger female teacher, I find that girls (especially in the fifth and sixth grades) seem to naturally flock to me. (And no, I'm not teacher of the year or some wonderfully charismatic person or anything.) They are just so interested in your life, your boyfriend, your nails, your hair, your car, etc., etc., etc. Maybe this is not true with all female teachers, but I seem to just register better with girls. For that reason, it often seems more enjoyable to be with girls. Who wouldn't want an ego-boosting little follower? Even when girls are chatty, they want to please you, so that's why they get into trouble less. (Also there's the plain fact that they aren't as agressive and noisy.)
