I am a Teacher's assistant and what I use for my students are these great books written by Jane Belk Moncure and they go through the alphabet. there is a different book for every letter and the kids just love it. They also have some great words at the end of the book that starts with the letter you are working on. The set I got comes with a first steps parent book, flash cards the works. My five year old daughter loves them too.
