streets

Clip to ScrapBook
You may just have a slow group of kids this year...it does happen and it is frustrating. The way I teach my kids angle is straigt out of our text book. It has a map with streets which are labeled with letters. We then look at how the two streets are parallel and when two streets come to an intersection it is like a 4 way stop. I just try to relate it to real life. I then have them go outside to the playground and find each thing we are discussing. Or do something like who can find the most perpendicular lines. I also do this with obtuse, acute, and right angles. It is fun and they seem to get it.
I hope this helps
