bored

Clip to ScrapBook
Perhaps, it is just because he's bored to death. He's probably just a normal kid. Is there play in the first grade classroom? Is there choice? Does the curriculum focus on all the intelligences? Are his strengths tapped into and utilized to make the lessons more interesting and motivating to him? I know when I sit in a boring lecture all day, I don't participate either. Perhaps the curriculum needs looked at first. Then, if the curriculum is DAP, kids have choice, play is involved, the intelligence strengths are utilized and this kid is still having problem, then he would need further evaluation.

All curriculum should be modified that's our job. Take the kid where they are and help them get to where they can.
