Re: fifth grade grammar centers
By Erin

Clip to ScrapBook
I use sentence strips and clothes pins at centers. On the pins, I glue cards labeled noun, verb, or whatever parts of speech we're focusing on. Then, I write a sentence from a book we're reading on the strip. I post the strip and clip the pins nearby. Students at the center need to clip the pins underneath the words that correspond to the proper part of speech labeled on the clothes pin.

The students record the labed sentences in their center journals.
