I have taught a multi-grade classroom for the last 6 years and love it! It's so much fun to see children mature and get to see the fruits of your labor. It's also nice to start with a core group that knows your procedures and can "teach" them to the others. The children I have had the previous years are very positive with the things we do--even the "repeat" activities--so that gets the others excited as well.

The downside would be having certain "challenges" for more than one year! Fortunately I have only had one situation like this. Actually knowing you are having these same children the next year makes you more "solution-oriented" since you know the problems won't be going away in June!
