I agree with you PJM
By Cathy-Dee

Clip to ScrapBook
We all have colleagues we work with whose methods we may not understand or even agree with but it really is not our place to question them or to confront them if we do not like what they are doing. Before you take that route
I'd read your code of conduct very carefully to make sure you do not inadvertently put yourself into a firing line.

And unless you are in his classroom or have had a child in his classroom you might not be aware of everything he does. I do not always see what my colleagues are doing either and sometimes it is too easy to assume that they are not doing everything they can. And I've

heard many teachers over the years comment that they are frustrated because some students just cannot read or write or do math facts. They are not commenting directly on another teacher, they are just frustrated with having so many low students at that time.

From your initial post I got the feeling that the comment was made in general and was not directed at your teaching per say, but that you took it that way. Now if he did actually comment on your teaching skills then I would book a meeting with your administrator and let him or her know that you feel very frustrated because you do work so hard with your students and then to have a colleague make those types of comments is very hurtful.

Now you are still dealing with this teacher but through proper channels and although he may be angry with you at least you won't be in trouble and brought up on discipline charges for stepping out of bounds.
