Definitely don't say anything until you have something definite lined up! Unless you are so unhappy at your current school that you would not consider working there ever again, there is no reason to burn the bridge until you've safely crossed it!

As far as your resumes, I think it's a great idea to send them to the district, and principals. But, I wouldn't send them to every principal in every district. Zero in on the schools that you are most interested in. Include a personal cover letter which spells out why you want to work at a particular school. For instance, I am very strong in computer integration, so I targeted schools in the district that had a technology emphasis.
