My first graders are like this, too. I think they got a second wind after Christmas break. They are worse ever. This was our first week back and I was a zombie when I got home Friday night. Mine need to have recess so it is hard thinking up appropriate ways to punish. Parents are getting note but it makes me look like I can't control them and it is true. I can't. I guess my problem will be solved in June. I guess I just need to face the music and say my class is a bunch of animals and I'm the zookeeper. Cages would be nice.
