When I finished my student teaching I did several things for the kids! I knew that they were throwing me a surprise party for my last day, they even had my husband and son there, so the week before we had a pizza party and| my guys served as the pizza delivery boys! The kids loved it! After we ate we all went outside and launched our space shuttles, film canisters and alka seltzer, and then when we went back in I gave the kids their own book and we read it together and cried! I gave them goodbye cards, and desert! I still run into some of the kids and they always meantion the book and for some it was | |
the only book they ever got! The last day of school, before the party, I snuck the kids into the hall one at a time and they signed the matt for a 8x10 frame that I had put the school name and year on using foam cutouts! The picture inside was one of us all from Read Across America and we all had out Cat Hats on! My cooperating teacher just loved it and of course I had the kids do one for me!
