Clip to ScrapBook
You stated that you wanted them to send in items from home (not purchase items) so here goes my list......

*newspapers(use lots of ways)
*magazines(cutting words, pictures)
*hangers(plastic-to make mobiles)
*tops and lids to containers(to sort, categorize)
*shoe boxes (for dioramas)
*empty food boxes (use for cereal book ad project, reading labels, etc.)
*toilet/paper towel rolls (for craft projects)
*scoops from powder detergent
*old telephone books
*old cookbooks

I'll try to think of some more. Hope this helps.
