Stone Soup-reading
By Ingrid

Clip to ScrapBook
Oh my goodness. You tapped the mother lode for me.Pun was intended as in ore and stones, etc. That's the first place I go. I do this at Thanksgiving. First step I do is "What is a stone?" Huge jumping off point. Gem
stones, rock tumbling, jewelry etc.

Then we get to do measurement- Teaspoon, tablespoon, cup--dry measure, liquid.

Next is vegetable tasting- Peppers? Ugh! say the kids until they taste sweet green and red peppers. Then lets try fruits.

Next comes family heritage and different countries national dishes, especially soups, costumes. It is endless. Let your self go. Fairy tales,

fables, etc. etc. etc.

The end result is a parent/ kid book "published" for the whole school on families favorite soup recpies. ( Gosh, I wish this site would have a spell check.")
