Junior Books
By Beth, gr.4

Clip to ScrapBook
I am half-time librarian for our school and have had much success reading the classic, "Old Yeller" to grade 5. "Summer of the Monkeys" is great too, although I think I read it with a grade 6 class. Right now, I am reading Paul Jennings, "Uncanny", a book of short stories, to grade 5's and 6's. They love it. Very quirky in a more updated, Roald Dahl way. I think they would like any Paul Jennings book you could get your hand on. They would tie in nicely to some study of Australia as well.
