Wow! Same Situation!
By Renee

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi! I am in the same situation. I teach 3rd grade and we are dying! Eight weeks until the test! AAGGGG! I also teach with a team of six third grade teachers, one of whom is bilingual. However, I have gotten really lucky
this year and our grade level gets along great. Most of us are new to 3rd grade or the school and we just seemed to click. Last year I taught 4th (same school) and the grade level situation was just like you described. Everyone's way was right, if you try anything new it's bad, etc. That's why I switched to third, although I am regretting it with all of the test pressure. Personally I'm
happier with having some friends at school but professionally I'm in the pressure cooker. Maybe if you were to change grades the people would be better. Our schools sound really similar. I'm in the Dallas area (suburb). I understand how you feel, I've been there. Keep your chin up and you'll make it.
